With innovations in technology and travel steadily bringing the world closer together, international partnerships have become a key component in our national flood risk management efforts. For instance, approaches and techniques used to offset flooding from monsoons in Japan may have value to hurricane flood risk reduction in New Orleans and vice-versa.

The mission of the International Partnerships Program is to establish and maintain fruitful relationships with governments and other organizations internationally to encourage information exchange, cooperation, and collaboration on improving approaches and techniques that can achieve flood risk reduction.
