The Silver Jackets program provides communities with an opportunity to work with all appropriate state and Federal agencies to develop a comprehensive flood risk management program.

National Flood Risk Management Program

Through its' state team, the Silver Jackets program has provided the City of Marietta, Ohio an opportunity to work with all appropriate state and Federal agencies to develop a comprehensive flood risk management program. Learn more about this effort underway in Ohio.

In FY08 a pilot study successfully calibrated a model that predicts when expected flood areas will be impacted upon with actual river flow data for the White River in Indianapolis. Model inputs can now be integrated with the HAZUS damage model, GIS and local Property Valuation Administration databases. Learn more about the Indiana Inundation Study. (pdf, 306 KB)
